DCI Gene Hunt helped guide his faithful colleagues Ray Carling, Chris Skelton - and 2008 officer Detective Inspector Alex Drake to the afterlife in The Railway Arms, thus accompanying them away from the 1983 "purgatory" world in which they had been living.
Gene returned to his office, and upon his arrival he was confronted by a new officer from the 2000s...
Ashes to Ashes is back with a bang. There are new officers, and new cases. And even a few faces from Gene's mysterious past...
Gene narrowly escaped destruction at the hands of the sinister Jim Keats. But will evading that fate be so easy this time?
